Now go do some actual research into the space program. You'll see that places like the Naval Research Center, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and White Sands were actually where the space program was "born."

No child, developing missiles for war is not the same as developing rockets to reach space. It was in Huntsville that the rockets were first researched and developed, along with the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs.
edit to add- Why do you think JPL is called the JET Propulsion Laboratory.

Researching and developing rockets was only one part of the US space program as a whole.
My statement stands, the beginnings of the US space program were well underway before anything was ever happening in Hunstville related to it.
The US space program didn't begin in Alabama.

Butt hurt ?...no...your idiotic claim of championships you had nothing to do with is the truth...not butt hurt. I again say...you are riding the coat tails of a lot of athletes who chose to go to Alabama ....compete...and win championships. I can not claim a championship in the last 30 years...and neither can you. If you are an Alabama fan...then that's all you are. Nothing more....Those who brought those championships can lay claim to them....but not you. Typical bandwagon fan who does nothing but claim others accomplishments. Now shut-T-F up !!!
