See, you know better than to post a check in thread. Yet because moderation is on sabbatical, we get 54 of these dumb types of threads.

First time since after the '09 NC we haven't been ranked #1 or #2 in the preseason.

Check in threads are the dumbest threads on a board full of dumb threads. Not surprised you would start one

I have said it before, if Saban had not been given the two mulligans in 2011 and 12, he would be considered the biggest choker in College Football History. Those preseason rankings those years were the main reason for take that opportunity to hit another ball.

How was 2012 a mulligan year? KSU and Oregon lost the week after us, and we won the SEC after beating the #3 team in the nation.
We deserved to be in Miami, along with Notre Dame.

If you lose a home game in November, you do not deserve to be in the BCS. If you lose a home game in November and do not win your division, you do not deserve to be in the BCS. FSU was considered to be the best team in the country at the end of the year in the 90s for about 5 straight years, but Bobby was never given a Mulligan.

You can't be serious. In November 2012 all of the top 5 teams (except ND and OSU) had at least one loss, and since tOSU was on probation they couldn't compete. The only team who didn't lose in November was Florida, and since UGA beat them they couldn't play for the SECCG. Are you saying that they should've been in over us?

And this affects us how? Each year we won late we needed other teams in front of us to lose in order to get back into discussion. In 2011 we needed, Okie State, Oregon, Stanford, OU, and even Arky, and even Clemson and FSU to lose in order to be back in the title race (most people forget about those other teams.

In 2012 after the Aggy loss Oregon and KSU more or less had a straight shot to Miami, until Baylor and Stanford stepped up. If we didn't deserve to go then pray tell who did.
Hell in 2013 Auburn needed OSU to lose in order to have a solid chance to go to Pasadena.
Late losses happen, and every team needs a bit of luck to get in the championship game. FSU didn't have that happen to them back in the '90s.

FL lost to UGA on a neutral site. Bama lost to A&M at home in Nov as a 21 point favorite. I compare that to LSU losing to ARK in the final game of the regular season and still getting in the BCSC.
