No..I am more curious as to the purpose of the post to begin with...It looks like you are more interested in making LSU look good for some reason. Personally, bragging about how much money a school is making and Not getting a real bang for your bucks would be a little annoying if I was a fan from any of these top revenue generating factories and not doing any better than the product that they have been putting on the field.
LSU is one of the biggest under achievers of the decade. It's beyond annoying. I haven't looked at the numbers this year, but for the decade, LSU and USC had one of the widest gaps (negatively) between yearly average of recruiting rankings and yearly average of final team ranking. Clemson and Oklahoma had the largest positive gap.
I guess from an LSU perspective, the positive in this list would be that we've been absolutely mediocre for about 5 straight years and we still are well within the top ten of the team value list. It gives me reason to believe that we're still a national brand despite our on field results the last several years.

So the state of AL has two teams worth more than NFL teams, but we can't get one? And places like Buffalo can? WTF.

4 of the 10 are SEC. Another (Texas) from the South. It's telling not a single PAC12 member on the list.

Recruits don't give a shite about lists like this...They care about things like the coaches they will be playing for, how nice the facilities are, playing time, fan support, potential to go to the NFL, how far will mama have to drive to watch him play and for him to go home and see mama...
LSU's been screwing up with coaches and trying to Out-Alabama the Tide. They keep trying to recruit big arse linemen and play power football against arguably the best coach ever at this style. LSU is a great place for a running back (aside from Travis Eitenne Jr) to play, but you don't see 5 star QB's and WR's lining up to join programs like LSU....Coach O is trying to change that but more offensive firepower has been the key to beat the tide.

LSU is right there at the bottom...just trying to hang with the big boys.

Tennessee is #10 on the list. Not sure why OP stopped at 9.

Who the frick said anything about recruits caring about lists like this? No shite facilities, coaches, fan support and on field results mean more to them.
You're having a really weird melt about this list.
I'm not sure how many more compliments I can pay to your program but it seems like I'll never be able to satisfy your need for affirmation. Clemson, you're good enough, you're smart enough, and dog gone it, people like you.

There's a bigger drop between 9 & 10 than there is from 4 to 9.
Tennessee is clearly in the next tier.

I thought Texas A&M was the richest, or am I thinking of something else?

This is a list based upon perceived value of an incalculable and widely varied sport team (where assets are obviously not included for some). TAMU does boast the highest revenue per year which is what real value can be measured upon.

Ok make the cut off $635 million.
Add Tennessee

Not this past reporting period.
Plus, your revenues are inflated.
Don't have time to school you, but the fact that your operating budget is less than $150 million should give aggy major pause about parroting this bullshite.

Wait until Tessus moves into their new basketball stadium (with no practice facility). We will see whose revenues have been inflated for all of these years. Not only will the basketball revenue go away but also all of the concert and other special events money goes away. It will be at least a $30,000,000.00 drop in revenue!

If it is a serious query then you question would be about endowments.

How in the hell can they say LSU is "worth" 850,000,000 fricking dollars when it was just two years ago that the Governor threatened to shut down their athletic department for leaching off the Louisiana taxpayers?
Sounds like some frickery is afoot to me. I wouldn't be surprised if they're involved in some sort of fraud to be honest. It's par for the course in Louisiana politics.
