He will have some big stat games and crap the bed in others. Jekyll and Hyde. It will be tough to live up to the expectations during his first season of starting. Honestly, it’s not fair the pressure placed on the kid this year. Anything less than a championship will be deemed a failed year.

You don’t have to be an involved expert to realize he’s going to be really good. It’s obvious. The media hype is 100% over the top and ridiculous. All Texas fans realize this. The lengths that Texas haters want to go is just as ridiculous and delicious for Texas fans

Has there been a dud Manning? I think he has grown up around an elite football family. He shows the tools and really think the mental part will be there just from a very different dinner conversation that the avg QB with physical talent has.

Plus, he has Sark.

I expect a lot

He can be a stud in college and the pros and still play a game where the whorns come out on the short end.

Look what happened to Quinn Ewers in the 2023 OU-TX game.

He threw for 346 yards and a TD, completing over 80% of passes (31-37) and at one point had something like 19 completions in a row but he also had 2 INT's and Texas lost 34-30.

This year I will say a mixed bag with flashes of true brilliance. I worry more fornhisnO line than his true talent - in each instance, the line and Arch, neither has jelled (yet).

I cannot think of any Manning that hasn’t shown mastery of the position but I don’t know if he will ever live up to the insane hype he has been put unfairly under.

Only problem with that is Texas defense wasn’t the same then as it is now. Texas defense still had depth issues. This year they are as solid as they were last year. Yes, all QBs and offenses will have games where they have struggles. But expect Texas defense to be elite again this year if not better

Hot shot Manning is gonna fall flat on his face. If he was this incredible QB why in the hell did he sit on the bench at UTa for 2 years behind a not so great QB.
Just like Derrick Dooley and Lane Kiffin he is living off his last name

I think hes an angel sent from God to save the Longhorns and Cowboys, he’ll win heisman, national championship MVP and to superbowls, putting Cowboys back on top of Patriots

Neither. Will probably have a solid year but since he won’t be a Heisman candidate he will labeled a dud. Tough spot for the kid.

He certainly has the lineage and I would bet Arch, Eli , and Peyton have been coaching him too...So Stud would be my guess based purely on the name.

Manning is more talented and respected than all QBs under Saban combined, get ready to see a real offense

And why did georgia sit behind florida for so long before they became top notch?
He will rule Ohio St. and Georgia in season and in playoffs!
Dont cry and commit suicide.
