I'm sure that's correct. The committee was making a statement. Washington has won 3 games against teams at or over 0.500. A&M has won 5.
But if UW wins out and the top 3 stay the same, I'm sure UW surpasses A&M by virtue of their conference championship.

In. They've played 2 teams in the cfb top 10, beat one and was competitive against #1 on the road.

An undefeated P5 conference champ is 100% going to get in, in the end, over a non-conference champ.
