I know it’s been discussed a little bit in the baseball threads and it’s still early but the dude is just insane right now.
.531 AVG
.631 OBP
1.856 OPS
9 HR
He was intentionally walked 3 times tonight

Ironic coming from the guy who regularly posts Kansas stuff on an SEC board when literally nobody cares

Unbelievable. But the IBBs make sense. No reason to pitch to him unless UGA punishes them for it.

Terrific hitter, is he draft eligible after this year?

We need to switch the order around.
We’ve had the best offensive numbers in D-I so far but it’s true that the IBBs have been pretty successful. We haven’t gotten much production from the 3 or 4 spot this year (Condon batting 2nd)

Yes because the previous coach was dumb enough to REDSHIRT this guy his freshman season, so this is his 3rd year at UGA

I mean he was not highly ranked at all in HS and apparently didn’t really develop until summer league ball after his redshirt year.

Im also curious where he ends up projecting position wise. Played mostly 1B last year but he’s been all over the place this year
He’s made SEC network highlights in 4 different positions this year already including a diving catch in CF tonight. Scouts said he’s not quick enough for 3B but he’s put on a defensive show so far this year in that position. I think he ends up as a 1B

I mean, it’s not bad for a situational pinch hitter through 13 games
Seriously though.

Shamelessly bumping this thread…somehow his numbers have gone up since I posted this
Charlie Condon finishes non-conference play with this:
.569 AVG
.670 OBP
1.978 OPS
13 HR
When’s the last time somebody had these stats with 90+ plate appearances in the books?

Looks like it was only his first 8 games. And even then he had a 1.916 OPS over that stretch, slightly less than Condon.
Through 18 games, it had dropped down to 1.268 OPS. So really not even close if we are being honest
