A buddy emailed me this link. Mostly about the Oregon story. However, in last minute he is asked "Whose appearance gets removed from BCS title game first, Oregon or Cam Newton & Auburn?"
Robinson talks about process for a few seconds, confirms AU is currently being investigated, and then answers....

Meaning? Charles Robinson is Yahoo Sports investigative reporter. He did break the USC, OSU, and Oregon stories. He was interviewed about the Oregon story on Sporting News Radio. And he did say "flip a coin" when asked whose appearance is removed first Oregon's or Auburn's.
What about posting a link to said interview is "nice try"?

You would've been better off leaving the audio part off the thread. In print, that looks a lot worse than it sounded with the audio.

Completely understandable. Robinson is not Thayer Evans or SBB. He is the investigative reporter for Yahoo Sports. He broke the story on USC, OSU, and Oregon. He is credible, though based on history I am sure no AU fan will believe a word he says.

Probably looked worse in print than he sounded. However, he did confirm the ongoing investigation, and he didn't say anything about thinking AU is "safe" from having appearance removed. If he had said "AU is fine" then AU fans would have been all over that.

Like I said, you would've been better off not including the audio. When you read it, it looks bad. But when you listen you realize he was asked a question he couldn't possibly know the answer and said flip a coin.
Did you expect him to give a specific school for an answer?
