I agree that EB is the best in the nation, but I also believe that CJ is going to turn a lot of heads this year. He will move up into the elite status this year. I have to agree that he will test EB in the league, but EB is an unreal talent.

Finally a somewhat realistic expectation. EB is the new bar to measure by

Not to take anything anyway from Berry but its pretty easy to look great on a weak team under a great Defensive coordinator.
Also i think people forget chad jones has started maybe twice in two years. he was behind an all american craig steltz and curtis taylor who was drafted.
When chad jones has been in the game his presence has been felt. Also we all know LSu had their trouble on Defense last year but you must have forgotten that when they started chad jones at his natural position (chick fil-a bowl) he had an incredible game.
Another thing i have noticed about ya boy eric berry is he has interceptions against ryan perrillioux who was starting his second game ever. Also interceptions against south carolina (who has yet to find a qb) arkansas (whose qb was there best running back) and vanderbilt. Also he picked up tim tebow who isn't a good accurate passer and if you notice riley and tebow were not on the same page on that play.

I will also guarantee all of you haters will remember chad jones this year. The chief + natural position = success!

He has 2 in 2 years for a unimpressive average of 1 a year.

Eric Berry>Chad Jones

if anyone disputes that they are stupid. Berry is one of the best DB's in our lifetime in college. CJ is a great athlete and has AMAZING potential, but hasn't done shite yet. I HOPE soon they are considered on the same level.

Well considering Berry didn't have an interception in only 4 games the entire year, your opinion is flawed and flatout dumb. How was the pick on Stafford? Is the #1 pick the NFL draft good enough for you?

And, I guess you can consider Chavis a "great defensive coordinator" for now. My advice is, just wait until you watch a few games and see when the Prevent defense is brought out in a close 4th quarter game and it costs you...

I thought this was the dumbest thread ever on TD.

Then some people came on here and AGREED with the original poster!

Just wow. This is completely stupid. Eric Berry is one of the best DBs we've ever seen. Probably the best since Ed Reed.

Mel Kiper had Berry as the number 1 prospect in the draft last time I checked. And he's only a Jr.
