LSU easily gets in over OU. Bama likely gets in.
The CFP screening criteria has been fairly consistent. SOS is about #5 in the screening criteria.
P5 status > overall record > head to head > conf champ > SOS > comparison of like opponents
All things even with no head to head game, a conf champ trumps a non-conf champ.

You can’t
2017
Ohio State won the Big 10 at 12-1 but had a terrible loss on the road at unranked Iowa
Alabama lost to Auburn and didn’t go to the SEC championship
Georgia won the SEC
11-1 Bama got in the playoffs over 12-1 Big 10 champion Ohio State.
Now go sit in the corner, dumbass

He is now realizing how foolish he has been in this thread. He based his entire logic on something that didn’t actually happen

There is nothing I'd rather do less than argue about how a group of humans will randomly decide something if a hypothetical situation occurs.

#1 most important factor- amount of losses.
#2-Conf title
#3- Who you actually beat

He’s busy looking up that time Bobby Boucher showed up at halftime and won the Bourbon Bowl.

Try and keep up, buddy, as I hate sounding like a condescending a-hole.
BUT, a 2 loss P5 champ (2017 OSU) still stands to be trumped by a 1 loss non-conf champ (2017 Bama).
No non-conf champ is beating out a P5 conf champ of equal.record unless they own a better overall record and/or head to head win.
ETA: even then, in 2017, the totality of the screening criteria came into play and the bad loss to Purdue was truly the deciding factor for Bama over tOSU

If Alabama loses to LSU we are out unless a bunch of insane shite happens. Our resume will be weak, and the only shot we'd have is something like 2017 where the competition was a 2-loss team with some awful looking loss.
If LSU loses they would still have a serious shot, especially if it was a close loss. Texas tanking hurts them, but they'd still have Florida and Auburn (if they both finish respectably) and their only loss would be a close one @ #1/#2. They'd need help, I think, but they'd have a better case for sure.

Clemson would have no good wins. Their best win would be A&M, which lsu would have also beaten, as their 4th best win....
I don’t think Clemson playing an 8-4 or maybe even 7-5 team in the ACC title game would help them

Almost rooting for a Bama L in two weeks and then a W against lsu in a championship just for the epic melt here. This website could possibly fry if 2011 happened again

If Bama has only one loss, they’re in. End of story.

Not if an undefeated LSU loses to a 1 loss Georgia or Florida in the secc
