You don't think they'd make them a #1 and #4 seed?

Agreed, absolutely no way Bama vs LSU happens in the playoffs unless every other P5 conference champion had two or more losses and LSU and Bama happen to be the only one loss teams left. Highly unlikely.

I think they will fudge the numbers so there will be a unique matchup considering bama and LSU will have played

Ohio St. may be left out if they're 12-1 and Oregon finishes 12-1

The interesting scenario will be if LSU beats Bama, then advances to the SECCG in a rematch with an 11-1 UF, but UF wins.

Then you have a 12-1 LSU, 12-1 UF, and a 11-1 Bama.

What a shitshow that would be.

Are you saying you don’t think they get in? As long as the game is competitive, LSU and Bama are both going to the playoffs.

Here’s the reality:

At most the farthest each team would fall would be 5th, unless it’s a blowout.

LSU will have more top 10 wins than anyone and only loss would be on the road @ #2

Alabama’s only loss would be at home to #1 with a hurt Tua. Win over Auburn will help.

Oregon lost to auburn. A team that LSU and Bama will have both beaten. Oregon has no top 10 wins and 1 top 25 vs #25 Washington. Could get another in pac 12 ship

Oklahoma was getting its arse whipped by unranked Kansas state. Only top 25 win is Texas. LSU beat the same team and also Auburn, Florida and hopefully A&M keeps winning.

There’s 3 scenarios that keep them out:

1) Baylor goes undefeated.

2) Penn State beats Ohio State in a tight game and goes undefeated. Then Ohio State gets the nod over 1 loss Bama because of more ranked wins.

3) Georgia or Florida win the SEC championship game and finish with only 1 loss. Then that team gets in and it’s debate between LSU and Bama for 4.

I think they’ll try to stick them at 1 and 4 to make sure they don’t have an all SEC national title.

Won't have to tOSU would be number 1 (based on more ranked wins) and Bama 2, Clemson 3 LSU 4. It should be Clemson vs Bama and LSU vs tOSU. These guys just assumed SEC Champ would be number one, and it will be if LSU, but not Bama. They didn't even do the research.

If both Bama And LSU make playoffs. They would only meet in championship. The hope would be to avoid the rematch by one losing in the semifinal.
