How has schedule strength become so lopsided?
Because the pollsters are overrating the entire middle of the SEC. Who have Tennessee, Missouri, Texas and OU beat? Hell who has Vandy beat but they are in the top 10 and have a loss.
That has created a huge bloat in the middle of the poll to make it seem like the SEC has tons of quality teams and we have no idea if that's true.
Why are Iowa/Washington not ranked? Both are 6-2. Oh wait they aren't in the SEC so they can't be as good as Tennessee/OU/Texas/Missouri/Vandy

You guys still buy this myth that playing or beating a ranked team matters.
I could care less about preseason rankings, and have not once hinged any piece of my argument on them.
Texas is not the #1 team. In fact, they aren’t even a good team. As discussed they needed OT to beat that two worst teams in the SEC yet they took mighty Ohio State down to the wire in Columbus. That’s my point.
Oklahoma is going to finish 8th or 9th in the SEC… they handled Michigan with ease.

Ohio State all played Texas down to the wire.
It was 14-0 with 4 minutes left in the game. Texas didn't make it past the 50 on their final drive.
OU beat the crap out of South Carolina just last week and Alabama struggled. Does that mean OU is better than Bama?
You can't use the transitive property in CFB and never have been able to

Obviously not, nor do early seasons games if you can recall OSU 2014 vs a shite VT team.
BAMA just set a record for ranked teams played.
Gutted out a game on the road on the back end that many here saw incoming as a struggle win or potential loss.
No idea where Bama finishes. But, they finished last night in a game they easily could have let slip away and certainly would have lost last year.
Nc, SEC CG or not... happy with the effort. Very resilient team.
What Ty is doing with zero run support is amazing. Bama secondary is carrying and equal amount of weight to offset the shite Rush D

Oklahoma beat Michigan which is obviously a challenge for you.
They are on track to finish anywhere from 8th to 10th in the SEC this year yet they beat one of the better BIG 10 teams. Thats kinda the whole point.
Tell me who your middle tier teams beat? Illinois, USC, Iowa, etc.

I find this hard to believe considering just last year OSU finished the season with 6 wins against year end top 10 teams. Bama has already played an unranked Wisky, South Carolina and LA-Monroe, so that's only 5

Florida State beat the F out of Bama and are on track to finish...last in the ACC.

So is the worst ACC team better than the best or second best SEC team? So the entire ACC is better than the entire SEC? See how stupid that argument sounds but you keep making it

Bama set an SEC record for consecutive ranked teams played in the regular season.
Does that help?
OSU has a one possession win vs the only ranked team on their schedule to date, which has a pocketful of struggle Ws. And, the Bucks have only 1 currently ranked team remaining on their schedule that also lost to another mid-SEC team.
It is a fact.
B1G is just soft below their top 1-2 every year. This is the toughest SEC possibly in its history. Other conferences will benefit from the carnage of Nov in the SEC

I'll ask again, who have the 5th-8th best SEC teams played and beaten to make the SEC so good? The only good win is OU over a Michigan team with a true freshman QB making his 2nd start at the time. Tenn/Missouri/Texas/OU/Vandy have basically zero ranked wins among them. Texas beat OU and OU beat Michigan. Tenn/Missouri/Vandy have zero currently ranked wins. 3 of those 4 Bama ranked wins have no good wins themselves so who knows if they are even top 25 quality.
It's an impossible question to answer because we have no idea who are the best 4 teams out of Iowa/Washington/Michigan/OU/Texas/Missouri/Tenn/USC. We know some of those teams beat others earlier so they are ranked higher today, but home field and timing of those games all matter.
It is possible that all 4 B1G teams are better than all 4 SEC teams or it's possible all the SEC teams are better than the B1G teams. But all 4 SEC teams are ranked and only Michigan and USC are ranked (but all the SEC teams with 2 losses are ranked higher than all the B1G teams with 2 losses)

You do realize the SEC beats the shite out of each other during the regular season while Ohio state gets to coast into the playoffs every single season?
Yeah I’m sure OSU cares about that. Melt more

Well I guarantee you Iowa would run a train on Auburn this year

Yeah last season is a great example, if the sec teams were so great why didnt any of them beat the big ten teams or notre dame? It should have been easy since the big ten is so bad.
While I believe both Indiana and Ohio State are very good and deserving of their hype, neither of them play the type schedule those of us in the SEC play. Do I think both teams would do well with an SEC schedule? Probably, but the chances of them having one loss or two or even three would increase substantially. That's simply a fact. The weakest in our conference would win a lot of the lower level conference titles with ease.

Vandy gave Virginia Tech their most lopsided loss of the season to date.
Oklahoma beat Michigan soundly.
Look at the Big 10’s middle tier…
USC was beaten soundly by Notre Dame. Michigan was beaten soundly by Oklahoma. Iowa lost to Iowa State. Northwestern lost to Tulane. UCLA lost to New Mexico and UNLV.
I mean this really is a slam dunk argument for the SEC.

Oh it's the old go to for the SEC. Our teams would beat your teams without any evidence to prove it.
You believe Miss. St. Kentucky Auburn would beat Wisconsin Purdue and Michigan State, but we literally have no idea if that is true. So you can say it as fact but it is anything but

Maybe if Bama would have beaten Tennessee last year then you can complain
