I was stupid enough to download it and it still sounds like shizz.

Even after hearing the cleaned up version I think my earlier transcription was pretty accurate. I now think that the [something] before the words "excuse me John" sound like someone comes in the room or says something and whoever is leaving the message turns the phone mouthpiece away for a few seconds, says something back and then continues to leave the message.

Obviously it was Cam.

Even the cleaned up version on the other blog doesnt really bring anything new to the table. This is old news. When they have something of value bring it. This doesnt change a thing

I couldn't really make out anything on the recording, but someone who cleaned it up is claiming it is Cam in the background correcting Cecil that he really wants to go to MSU.

I agree that it sounds like someone else was talking. FWIW, this doesn't sound like it's contrived.

I haven't tried to listen to anything, but didn't Cam state early on that he wanted to go to MSU all along - but diddy chose Auburn?
Didn't Cecil make the announcement to the Newton family that, "It's Auburn"?
Then, didn't Cam called the Mullen's and try to "explain" why he ended up at AU, i.e. "the money was too much" statement?
