I just said he was admitting it...and how is admitting you committed extortion in a positive light?

Those admissions from Cecil are the most harmless ones he could make. I believe he's lying, of course. But he could have come out and said, Yeah I did it. Cam knew. Auburn paid. I made Cam do it...and so on, and so forth.

This is going from MSU to Auburn. They are going to establish exactly what happened at the starting point of the evidence and then move to where the "adult", yes Cam is an adult and this adult allowed his father to pimp him, so they are going to move to where he is now (Auburn) when the investigation is directed there, which, surprisingly, is moving in that direction pretty frickin' fast!

why would i be kidding? i bet this is the angle they are taking.. if you request money to help sign me to Blue Mountain State, does that constitute it being on my behalf? I dont know you.
Umm....that's not quite the same as this case, I don't think.

well now the real fun begins.
i dont think auburn is man enough to play cam newton the rest of the year.

Game set match for cam in college. It may take longer but aub will end up going down hard

Another interesting point from MSU's statement:
"MSU alerted the Southeastern Conference about the offer. MSU did not have any specific incriminating information about any other school, and thus could not provide any. "
The claim that Cam called a MSU coach and said "the money was too much" would clearly be specific info incriminating another school.

Well when you add in the comments that Cam supposedly made to MSU recruiters, it doesn't make sense that he didn't know what was happening. And these comments make what the MSU recruiters said sound more plausible.

No shite and the Newtons have zero credibility here. Beginning to look like the only question now is HOW bad this will be for Auburn. Death penalty?

The unknown is what pressure the NCAA and SEC has put on AU. Of course, Slive told the press it is up to AU, but was their pressure one way or the other behind closed doors?

He knew about it fella's.
This is like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, and realizing that the odd assortment of colors you're seeing in the unfinished puzzle is actually a gigantic dildo and it seems to be poised at the rear entrance of Auburn University.

This is even further disheartening.
But the Newton's won't have much to worry about once Cam hits the NFL...
oh how this season has changed in one week

Let me know this. If Trotter takes the first snap tomorrow, will you sit there chanting, "It's only a matter of time until Cam comes out!" up until 0:01 in the 4th quarter?

If the admins at AU have any sense what so ever they will threaten to fire Chizz if Cam touches the field. The NCAA does not like people giving them the finger when they advise you not to do something. Dale Brown knows this first hand. I realize the big money boosters may be pushing the issue but if they truly love AU they would sacrifice this year for the future of the program.

sorry Ross, Keep your head up. It only took Bama 8 + years and 4 coaches to get back to the top in the SEC after our hammering by the NCAA. It won't seem that long and you're young.

Dude - it was his DAD. He wasn't asking for money in order to get YOU to sign with MSU. He was asking for money to get CAM to sign with MSU.
And it doesn't matter if Cam knew or not b/c every high profile recruit would get money somehow and the kids family would just say "he didn't know we asked for it".
Finally (in my 3 part sermon to you) I applaud your steadfast effort to cling to any and all hope until the last possible moment. It is what a true fan would do - not a realistic one, but a true one. However, at this point might I suggest you stop rearranging the deck chairs on this Titanic and get your arse in a life boat?

So when does the QQing start since none of this hurts Auburn at all?
