Fisher could barely get it done at the flagship school of a, at the time, weak conference. Then Dabo drove him off with his tail between his legs.

He's recruiting against a resurgent Texas, and against superior tradition at UT, LSU, and Oklahoma. And he's starting blind against four coaches already entrenched in Texas HS.

And all that is to get recruits who don't even fit his style. Ask Charlie how that worked out for him at a program which is head and shoulders better than your own.

And when you fire him in four years, you will have set the standard for what you're willing to pay. To draw a big name, you'll have to pony up again, and again, and again.
