Actually he went 10-2 one year, and won the West. Then went 8-4 the next year, got fired and the DC coached the Cotton Bowl and got his arse kicked. I agree he could have done better, but it wasn't terrible. Had he a competent QB (or the ordeal with Mustain and Malzahn hadn't happened) then he would have done much better imo.
