My wife and I are about to "cut the cable" in the next few days. We have apple TV and the watch ESPn app. I know I can get the games with antenna but I was wondering if the cbs sports website had a link where I could airplay the game from my iPad and watch it that way. TIA.

No, CBS doesnt have an app like WatchESPN...neither does Fox for that matter.

I'm sorry I may have made myself unclear. Is there a link on the CBS or ABC website where you can stream the game? IF there is I could just airplay it from my iPad to TV.

They do for their college basketball broadcasts, but not football. Not sure if it would even work with an Apple product though.

Maybe it's just me, but the picture I get with my antenna seems to blow the picture I get through DirecTV out of the water. So much crisper and cleaner.

You realize when you cut the cable subscription, you won't have WatchESPN access for games that are being played in your area?

Looks like I was wrong. They announced two days ago that they will stream all SEC on CBS games on the CBS app.

I've watched live streaming of the SEC games on CBS off of the CBS website the past couple seasons. www.cbssports.com

almost positive you need to have a cable subscription to use WatchESPN.

You do

I've heard of ways to have people "remotely access" their ESPN account and then you can somehow get it that way. Obviously it would have to be someone who is a cable subscriber to one of the companies with an agreement with WatchESPN.

Anybody ever gone this route?

Even if you retain cable internet from the same provider?

Probably. They set it up to prevent you from doing what you're trying to do.

I watched the Bama-Mizzou game last year on the CBS sports website. Not sure about ABC.
Eta: RebelFreeze already said it
