No mention, that I can see, of the backup. We will probably see plenty of whomever that is during the second half of week 1.

I haven't been following UGA. Is Beck being picked QB1 a good thing in Georgia fans minds?

Hes the logical choice. He’s been around this offensive system for a few years now. Showed pretty good skills in action last year and in the spring game. He’s plenty talented but just had to wait his turn.

I guess we’ll see

He looked very good in PT last year.

Extended scrimmages.

But, to be fair, outside of Ohio State, the entirety of our three game postseason last year were extended scrimmages.

He's both the logical and best choice. Has a great arm, can move (not a dual threat), and has the benefit of live snaps in games.

I'm sure you'll find some UGA fans bitching about Stockton or Brock, but it was always Carson's job to lose.

Because everyone is pretty close together. Nobody really separating

It was a foregone conclusion. It is what was expected. It's not breaking news. However, if he plays like shite how quick will Kirby pull him and put in vandergriff or gunner stockton. I assure you at the first sign of trouble, there will be UGA fans screaming for the backup to come in. I suppose all fanbases have those people.

He is a better pure passer than Stet, but he doesn't have the wheels. Time will tell if he has the command of the offense and the ability to read defenses. If he is performing well against UGA's defenses in practices, you'd think he'll be okay.

He was not the subject of big recruiting news like the other two guys, but that worked out okay with the last guy.
