Because the OC LSU hired was the fan favorite and the right choice.

...and Joe Burrow is? Where is all this confidence and optimism coming from to have in this guy?

Narcisse was nowhere close to being ready for the SEC. He just admitted that. McMillan was gone after this year and was likely not going to play this season. Their departures may actually help LSU going forward. It clears up two scholarships and leaves more opportunity open for 2019 and 2020 prospects. It also potentially reduces some of the negativity in the locker room. Everyone knows that Burrow is the man now and that Brennan is next in line.

It's been heavily discussed. Search the Tiger Rant.

Impossible for LSU to improve on offense though, you’re right.

Mizzou fan had better hope that LSU doesn't improve on offense before the next meeting with them, or it will be 60 point victory for LSU.

I have no idea, but the coaches obviously thought they needed another option...

Its a possibility. Maybe we'll see him in the SECCG.

Seriously though, isn't this the kid who couldn't win the starting job at The Ohio Smith - Urban ?

Who y’all gonna hire in 2-3 years when Mullen fails to meet lofty expectations?

They will go after Moorhead who will have a track record of taking Mullen players to the top of the heap.

Burrow is the best of the four options that were on the roster Monday. The two that are transferring are not currently SEC-caliber QBs, and McMillan could stay there another four years and would not be of SEC caliber.

We don't know if Burrow is SEC ready. I trust he's had better QB coaching at Ohio State than the other three guys have had in their two years or more at LSU. The other plus in Burrow's favor is he wasn't originally recruited by Les Miles and Cam Cameron, neither of whom know how to evaluate or develop quarterbacks on the college level. But the fact that he's someone else's reject doesn't automatically fill me with confidence he'll be good at LSU.

The bigger concerns are LSU's offensive line and running back groups, both of which may prevent any quarterback from being good there in 2018. If you're in a bunch of third-and-longs and the OL can't pass protect, it won't matter how good the QB is.

How about a ban bet that he works out better than Austin Appleby, Luke Del Rio and Malik Zaire? We're expecting Will Grier results.

There's a reason Saban didn't force Coker and Tua in too soon. Both of them basically sat out an entire year to learn from the sidelines. I do think O is possibly setting Burrow up for failure. If he has a bad game against Miami, a team most LSU fans are not giving nearly enough credit to, then it could really hurt Burrow's confidence moving forward.

If O could see that McMillan and Narcisse were unhappy, not playing well, and likely to leave anyway, then he probably did the right thing getting out in front of it now. But, I remember another transfer from the B1G who was supposed to be the savior (Etsiah) of the program and that didn't pan out very well, compared to expectations, even with Fournette still there.

I remember when Gator fans were pissed Mullen didn’t go after Burrow...you remember? There is a reason those two QB’s are leaving

I don’t give a shite if you are a transfer, recruit...shite, walk on for that matter (Mayfield). If they can play get them on the fn field. O has no time to waste on this.

Those were against B12 "defenses". Think Burrow is doing that in the SEC?
