The Blue Jays have a young pitcher named Marcus Stroman who tore his ACL in March and is already back and pitching. Sure, playing WR is harder on your knees, but he tore his plant leg. He went to Dr. James Andrews also. Pretty interesting article if you feel like reading it.

There has been great advancment in stem cell therapy. Basically take the SCs and inject them in the damaged area and they help rebuild the damaged tissues at a,much faster rate.

I know Andrews was in Birmingham for years, and I know that he's an LSU grad...but didn't he move his practice or set up a clinic where he works out of a ton in either Destin or PCB Florida a few years back?

His son does most of the hands-on work these days. Or did...they had a falling out a few years back, I think.

Andrews rarely operates any more. His junior partners do all his work. Not saying he's a "bad" surgeon, but his true talent was pulling the greatest marketing campaign of all time in medicine and locking down professional sports.

Andrews institute is in Pensacola. He still does surgery, but you have to travel down for it.
