There was a thread on this board tracking the transfers from Alabama after Saban retired. Alabama lost over 40 players.

National champion Ohio State had two All-Amricans this past season. Both of them played for Alabama the previous season.

Smart inherited a perennial 10 win Georgia program. He went 8-5 his first season. Dabo took over a Clemson program that had gone 8-5, 9-4, 7-6 the three previous seasons. His first three seasons he went 4-3, 9-5, 6-7.

Neither had to contend with the transfer portal.

LSU fans love to brag about only having 36 scholarship players when they changed coaches. But Alabama had the best roster ever after their coaching change.

I believe the average LSU fan is slightly more intelligent than a nutria. And I do apologize, that is an insult to nutria.
