I am just glad to be playing. If we play our best we will win, but there is no guarantee of that. Should be a fun game to watch because we can get out in transition too.

For those of you rooting on the Gators

For those jelly beeches

I think Florida beats their arse, but I hope FGCU wins.

I think they play right into Florida's hands. They like to play up tempo and so do the Gators. The only reason Gulf Coast was successful in the first two games was because they played half court teams: Georgetown and SDSU. They got a good draw. Florida will go down when they meet a team that will force them to execute half court. I do think GC can stay inside the number though

While the Cinderella is doing pep rallies and basking on their glorious and historic sweet sixteen run, our players are in Dallas preparing.
They will be tight as a drum come Friday.
Go Gators!

FGCU meet Scotty Wilbekin & friends....he will be tagging your best scorer or point guard all night long and wont tire.

Meet # 4 Patric Im at the Gym Young, try getting him to move an inch...Erik Murphy...he of the 6'10" height and dead eye three point shooter, Kenny Boynton, Mike Rosario, the three points on fire shooter plus Frenchy the pogo stick rebounder etc etc We play eight men and can withstand the early energy level we might face.

Truth is...we just may shut FGCUs offense down from the getgo and make them frustrated. UF is in the top five category of most defensive stats in the US...FGCU is a fixing to found out why.

What are you talking about? UF executes the half court offense pretty darn well. We don't get a ton of fast break points.

He is just assuming that Florida is still a full court press uptempo team because Donovan's teams were at one time.

This team plays a "moderate" tempo, not as slow as G'town who uses a press to slow the game down, but not as fast as Florida use to be under Donovan.

Florida is a traditional half court team this year. FGCU isn't going to see much different in Florida than what they saw in SDSU, except more size in the post and more talent over all on the floor against them.

They choked against lowly Ole Miss, so I guess yes they just might.
