Very true
Alabama-Georgia rivalry in gymnastics is fun. I don't ever watch it, but the documentary on it was cool. Combined 16 national championships between the programs (Alabama 6, Georgia 10).
Throw in Florida too.

Couple things here
1) I've lived outside of the south longer than I've lived in the south.
Universally, outside of probably 10-20 schools, football is king and it isn't even close when it comes to what fans would rather succeed at.
2)regardless of that, I said "every school here". Here refers to the avenue which we are communicating, the SEC rant, which is for SEC schools. So I'm not sure why I would even need to be outside the South to speak for what fans in the South value.

We've won the SEC 31% of the time and have finished near the top a lot of other times. Even if you take away the 35 years under Saban and Bryant, we were very good in the 20's, 30's, 40's, and 90's.

What a stupid fricking statement! Alabama has had FIVE coaches who have won national championships and only TWO decades (50s and 80s) in a 100 years that didn't have national championships in them.

I guess if you take away 75 years of our history, you can say we've been middle of the pack.

Because popularity in just the South doesn't devalue a Men's Basketball NC. But you know that.
