Can the SWC make some noise?

Houston, Texas, and Arkansas are still alive in the tournament, last holdouts of the wild and cantankerous SWC.
Houston is favored but Texas and Arkansas are pretty heavy dogs going into this weekend. I mean, let's be honest, it's been a great season for the Horns and Hogs already. We're still standing. A lot of great teams are watching from home right now.
The odds are not so hotso for us, but man it would be great to see the Horns and the Hogs fighting for a spot in the Final 4 this year.

I think it is important to note that Houston had a basketball dynasty before they were ever admitted into the SWC. From about 1965 to their SWC admittance in the mid 1970s... they were one of the best teams in the country. .

That’s a stretch. They never won a title. They only won two SWC titles in that frame. They didn’t win another SWC title until Arkansas left the league in 1992.
