I can't wait for Childs to light it up this year again.

Sao.

Wilson will be the top QB in the SEC by the end of the season.

I sure hope I just jinxed the hell out of him.

Personally, I put more stock in what I've seen Wilson do for several years in practice and in the Red / White Games than I do in his performance against Auburn last year.

However, his performance against Auburn demonstrated that Wilson is capable of taking his practice to the games and I for one expect him to be a more effective at QB this year that Mallet was last year. Note, I didn't say "better" than Mallett because the term "better" is too subjective but I do believe the offense will be more dynamic and effective under Wilson than it was under Mallett.

2009 Ryan Mallett 152.9 8
2010 Ryan Mallett 163.7 7

After Petrino's first years at both schools he has ALWAYS had a qb in the top 10 nationally.

But the measurement of a good college QB and how well they are developed is based how good he is/was in the Pros and not what he does in college even though said QBs may not have the overall talent to play in the pros.

wasn't he playing against the 2's in the spring game?

Not possible. Childs was a lowly 3-star recruit with no offers from Bama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, or Georgia. He couldn't possibly develop into one of the best receivers in the SEC.

In fairness, running back is not near the cerebral position that quarterback is.

Petrino has split the squads evenly the last two years. Actually our defense roughed up the O pretty good this year which hasn't happened lately.

Burying the lead... Ware is going to rush for 1300 yards and take all the pressure off JJ! It's a team effort.

Wilson's Auburn stats * 12 could mean 4000+ yards and 24 interceptions in the 4th quarter this year. He could win it for either team in a close game.

In fairness to Wilson's 4th qtr. picks, we had been royally fricked by the refs at this point and had to pass every play due to being down two scores late. Pretty easy to sit in a zone and pick someone off when you know they are throwing it every play.

What LSU "beat writers" have to say about Ware

Not always. He went against the 1's with the 1st team offense many times. And just to remind some on this board, many Hog Fans (but not me) thought Wilson earned the starting position over Mallett in 2009. That's how good Wilson performed during the spring and I would have been very happy to have Tyler Wilson in the game. I just thought Mallett was too good to not play.

Great comparison with ware and our lovefest. I bet ware has the same amount of touchdowns as Wilson has picks though.

Yea, he's not really a beat writer for LSU.
But don't let facts frick up your flame.
