Ok... next year, we'll get Drew Brees as the replay supervisor in Baton Rouge...Didn't go to LSU, is well respected. Fair enough, eh?

all I have to say you better hope the gumps thump the cowbells and the barners. If these games are decided by shady officiating and Slive still plays dumb, shite will fly.

Having Burleson in the booth is like having Al Capone watch over a casino.

I wouldn't characterize this as the "nation agreeing". Over half those votes are from Louisiana, and obsessed Auburn fans in Alabama.

That's why they show the map. So that you can see what the majority in each state says.

I will call Gallop so they can do a double blinded multi center study with small p values. Gumps still wouldn't believe. I think its a pretty strong consensus based on the talk radio shows, tv shows, bloggers that the nation is against the gumps on this one.

im not reading this whole thing but are the gumps really defending having a guy from the state of alabama in the booth? then on top of being a native of the state he was friends with bear and has been paid to speak at bama booster club meetings? do they not see any conflict of interest there and possible bias towards bama? high character guy or not the dude is human and bama is starving for a title so what would stop someone that is pro bama from overlooking evidence in a questionable call?

Mr. Burleson should certainly not be involved in any football game involving the Crimson Tide due to his natural bias. But, nonetheless, he was.

what natural bias would that be?

has LSU ever lost a game that wasn't the officials fault?

well lets see what bias could he have.

1. he is from alabama
2. he was friends with the bear who happens to be a bama god
3. he has been paid to speak at bama booster club meetings.

so yea no chance of having a bias there none at all just put your head in the sand.

if this was reversed and bama got fricked and the replay supervisor was 1. from LA, 2 friends with cholly mac and 3. paid to speak at taf and gridiron club meetings bama fans would be just as pissed.

no one from Louisiana or Alabama should be involved in any game bt LSU and bama or LSU and auburn. its just asking for stuff like this to be brought up. Get someone from another state and with no ties to the schools involved. I dont care how much character someone has they shouldn't be involved with official stuff when they have emotional ties to either school

1- and?
2- what does being friends with a coach who has been dead for over 25 years have to do with anything
3- among many other paid speaking engagements throughout the year including other booster clubs I would imagine. So wtf is your point

LSU fans are butt hurt and hanging on to any tiny little shred of hope they have that their dominance in the west is not over. If believing your team is the victim of some type of conspiracy and your head coach isn't a clown who uses all three of his TO's way to early and fails to understand the most basic rules of going for 2 point conversions then more power to you.
