honestly i have not watched many lsu games this year, but hunter's sack stats dont look that good to me. 1.5 sacks through 8 games. seems to have quite a few tackles and tackles for loss though.
He's light on sacks, but I think he leads all SEC D-linemen in tackles, and like you said, he has quite a few tackles for losses.

He also does a good job at batting the ball down at the line of scrimmage and has a good bit of hurries.

He's not the best pass rusher in history, but he's been pretty damn productive. Maybe not as productive as his veiny arms would lead some to believe, lol, but he's been playing well this season.

If there's one thing you can ironclad rely on, it is what Nick Saban tells the media about his team. No more forthcoming coach in the nation.

Cam Robinson at 70% is still better than our other options at LT.

I keep hearing this and this is hard to believe. U guys have no one any better than 70% of a freshman at LT with a new QB? All that recruiting over the years. So let me get this correct: if CRob wouldve chosen a different school, u guys would be totally fricked at LT this yr? I aint buying it.

Win or Lose it will not be because of Crob playing or not playing.

I guess we all will know in a couple of days. But I agree Andy whoever plays LT you would think is at least decent.

It's more that Cam being out would force a reshuffling of the offensive line. His "backup" is our starting RT who was penciled in to be the LT this year before Cam came in and took the job. So then we'd have plug in a new guy at RT. Cam being out would put a couple of guys in new spots, it wouldn't just be his backup filling in and everything else holding steady. I think that's why some people think we'd be better off with a not 100% Cam playing (as long as he can obviously).

U guys are paying talented coaches alot of money to handle these situations. Its not like the RT is not the backup for the LT at many schools.
Off week as well, something tells me Bama will be fine on the OL and it will have very little influence on the outcome of the game. Lose your 2nd string tackle and I will think theres something to exploit there.
LSU lost 3 starting OL in 2012 the week of the Fla. game in the Swamp.(scheduling does matter) Cost LSU the Natty most likely.

Took them all of one week to get back rolling and that was with Stud performing 2 roles.
You guys have had an extra week to work out the what ifs.

we were fine in the TN game when cam went out, our RG moved over to LT, and our backup center played RG. RG Leon brown actually looked better at LT than he did at guard to me (not terribly surprising, in that he was an OT in juco). in fact we took that line down the field with a 7 minute drive to secure the game when cam went down. did anther late in the game where fowler fumbled going to score

I don't think anybody is arguing any of this. We were having a convo about the backups because we were asked about it.

Sacks aren't the only measure of a dlinemen. And yes he probably will surpass the 2 sack mark against Bama. I'm think he gets 2 or 3 sacks on Sims.

He leads all SEC linemen and most starting LBs in tackles.

I dont really understand why people are not getting what im saying? LSU people come on and say Hunter is going to get to sims a bunch. I say, he has not really gotten to any of the other 8 qbs you have played, probably wont get to sims who is as mobile and elusive as anyone you have played so far. You say, hes got alot of tackles. Nobody is saying he is not a good player.
