Not as accurate as Chris Todd, but 10X the arm strength.

He's a virtual unknown at this point

He's not that unknown. He played like 7 plays in the A-day game. Everything he did looked better that Todd. Everything.

The truth is we don't know . I do know that I am excited to see. It is funny to see somebody say he is no good or great for that matter, when they have no clue. lol

i hope he lives up to all the hype, however, my gut feeling says other wise. auburn hasnt had much luck with dual threat qbs. maybe this time we got it right

He's very imposing looking, but I don't know how good he will be. Just give the ball to Dyer.

Todd was not extremely accurate but he was efficient. Newton doesn't have to be extremely accurate to be good the main thing is just not make a lot of bad decisions.

FWIW Lane Kiffin and Jim Chaney went to watch Newton and Simms preform and they both turned Newton down and offered Simms a scholly. He must not be very good if Kiffin didnt want him....

You trust Lane Kiffin, I'll trust the fact that Dan Mullen still thought he was good enough.

I thought he was very well spoken on the news last night. He sounded a little cocky, but that's what you want from your quarterback. He has to act like he can get it done to give the other players confidence in him. He worries me, and by the time we play him, he will be quite seasoned.

I think the verdict will still be out even after he is gone because of Malzahn's offense. I mean Todd looked decent to good at time even with a bum arm.

Hard to judge, but history is not on his side.

Name one JUCO QB that has done well in the SEC..
