Honestly, the best college football player ever is probably an OT like Orlando Pace or Jonathon Ogden. No one would ever try to make that argument though, because there aren't any stats like TDs, completion %, YPC, and total yards to back it up.

I know and I saw. We have different opinions and some would probably say we are both biased. I just know who I would pick if I was going to win games. Heck, I would pick Vince Young and sam Bradford over cam. Heck, I'll go back to the 90's and choose either manning over Cam.

You obviously also have to have talent and prototypical measurements.

I didn't say Cam was a better leader, I stated what TT13 said.

Never said that. Just saying Tim Tebow didn't refuse to lose. He lost 5 times.

football is also a team sport and our 2007 defense couldn't stop a HS team and considering how bad the 07 defense was we were still in most games that year.

Well, Cam clobbered Bama so I can see why they would say that. Heck, Cam isn't even the best player to ever play at Auburn....Bo Jackson is.

Obviously it is a difficult task to choose just one. Many have dominated the game and most recently obviously Tim Tebow and Cam Newton would be in the discussion.

Cam was a more fluid runner and had the same run over you tenacity TT had. TT has a larger body of work to judge by. However, there is no denying everything being equal that Cam would have done the same if not more than TT. You cannot say TT had more will to win than Cam as Cam proved a few times the will to win. Tough argument and therefore I agree with some in saying they both share the top spot.
