Yep. And it wasn't too long ago, another faith leader on the plains was accused of some money issues, I believe?
I must have missed that? What happened?
And where the hell is TiM? We need an official statement from him.

I <3 John Bond. I hope he wins the lottery, fricks Megan Fox, Jessica Biel, and some other woman of his choice, then he loses his legs, his vision, his voice, his hearing, and lives to be 150 years old.

Anonymous donations in the church's offering plate would be easy to hide.
Especially when you're bishop of 5 (count em!) churches!
Moral issues aside, the preacher man certainly had ample opportunity to use the money and some good ways (like the collection basket) to launder or hide the money. And he definitely had need.

He better be telling the truth, cause if not, this is some serious slander.

Just to clear something up that I think no one in this thread has gotten right yet, when the aubs vacate their wins, they will be 0-0, not 0-8 (or 0-however many games they've played, probably all 13 or 14, when they have to vacate). Vacation of a game results in neither a win nor a loss.

So how exactly are they going to be able to trace this to Auburn if it was a church donation? What if a wealthy booster just so happened to go to one of Cecil's churches?

My guess, you won't be seeing Auburn sports on the TV for a couple of years...

ITAT is a mess.
Do we need a new thread for AU black helicopter/meltdown posts or do we use this one?

And don't forget folks there is PLENTY of bammer influence at ESPN. Rece Davis, Ivan Maisel, Mike Gottfried, are HUGE bammers I can think of just off the top of my head. It seems to me like this is something they've been holding in the bag for a while that they couldn't wait to spring on us. If this has been a "story" since July, what was the catalyst for putting it out there now? *crickets* The funny thing is that Pat Forde, Chris Low, and Mark Schlabach all contributed to that article. Does that seem strange to anyone else? ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE, who can defend ESPN after this, is quite simply not an Auburn fan. PERIOD.
