UTSA put up 203 yards rushing against them. They're in for a rough season.

75 of those came on one play.

UF?

Losses @LSU, @Miami, Texas and Georgia they’ll be lucky to be better than .500 come November

Veteran team that does not lack talent. Meanwhile LSU has 6 xfers in their 1st year with you on the D 2 deep, plus a freshman. UF will be a tough out for LSU, and I think they have good odds of beating both LSU and Miami.

.lots of SEC teams have struggled over the years with Southern Miss.

Sure, in the 80s and 90s. Ancient history. The S Miss program has hit very hard times, being demoted to Sun Belt league and terrible win-loss record.

I take that point and it is valid but MSU is also pretty down...they have been through a rough patch. This is akin to folks forgetting that Vandy has mostly struggled with the Charleston Southerns in the past but beat the stew out of one of them this week....MSU beating a down Southern Miss when MSU is also down is a good win any way you slice it for MSU....the same as the Vandy win this week...its all relative. No, Southern Miss is unlikely to shock Alabama or UGA but its entirely possible they may have played MSU or Vandy pretty tight like they used to play Alabama and UGA at times...

UGA
LSU
Texas

Other possibilities: UF or UT (If either can stay healthy) AU (If Arnold doesnt implode), and OU (if their O-line improves)

SEC:
Georgia
LSU
Texas (who would get in at 9-3)

Texas will test the theory that a 9-3 team cannot make it. My guess is an exception is made for the Mannings
