Has been a huge factor for DBU

Leads the team in tackles (4th in the SEC)
2 INTS
1 Fumble returned for TD
1 punt return for 85 yard TD

That’s not a good thing for his position

Of course he is.

Anybody that plays each and every position for Bama is always the GOAT.

It might change from year which is only right; the new players are always GOAT because Bama is always GOAT.

Amirite?

He’s been pretty damn good. I’m still a little salty that he jilted UGA

That’s usually a bad thing for a CB but not always for a safety. Minkah has led the Steelers in tackles before. HOFer Brian Dawkins led or was near the Eagles leader in tackles during some of his all-pro seasons

This isn't completely accurate. Typically, yes. However, many of Down's tackles have been right around the LOS because he absolutely flies downhill against the run. He's not making tackles 20 yards downfield because our defense is getting beat up.

I could see casual football fans thinking this.
(Not you, but what the UGA fan said)

This is what you call good scheming with a capable player.

Steele has done pretty well with executing safety blitzes against the run, and not playing our safeties way off the ball unnecessarily because we have CBs who can man up this season.

Downs is a freak plain and simple. He’s the best safety in the SEC period.

Couldn't agree more. We have the luxury of playing Caleb more like a Safety / LB hybrid because of how physical he is, and because of how well McKinstry / Arnold can lock down in man coverage.

If anything our defensive weakness is one man named Trezmen Marshall...I'm still surprised he hasn't lost his starting role to Campbell yet.

He's good a good argument for it. I imagine the linebacker for Texas is up there also.

Okay boomer. This ain’t the Dooley era.

Tell me - who is Georgia’s leading tackler this year? What position does he play?

Bonus multiple choice - what position has 4 of the top 5 leading tacklers for Georgia this year?

A. LB
B. DB
C. DL

Not biased.
Not biased at all.

The post season awards are just wrong.

I’m not sure I’d go that far. Starks at UGA is pretty special

You’ve personally scouted every true freshman in cfb?

Impressive feat.

No need to. The fact he leads a team with this much talent in tackles and has 2 non offensive TDs is enough.
