Wouldn't be surprised to see him take them deep. He needed the reset at a new place.

It's still the first weekend and now he's got Pitino next(hopefully). We'll see. He has a good record vs Pitino tho.

If he goes deep like Elite 8+ type deep, Rupp Rafters is going to explode.

Is St John's better than Louisville?

I always loved that hire. They are going to be better going forward.

We could lose to Troy and it would be just as good as cal did before he left
No, Cal leaving was a good thing for both it seems. Will see how Pope is in the tournament

It would be nice to have Thiero back.

Yes he would have helped against the zone.

Hogs won’t make a deep run this year, but I like the coaching I’ve seen out of Cal this year. With what we have coming back, the recruiting class, and what he gets in the portal…He should have a good run coming up in the next year or two.

The pressure was on both coaches. First year at a blue blood and first year at a damn respectable basketball school. Cal is a huge name still and he really needed to get that dub honestly. I’m happy for him.
We will see what pope is made of. But fans will absolutely not hold this year against him if he gets bounced in the first round. I think pretty unanimously around KY the goal was to make the dance. He’s done that.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him take them deep.
