If we are going by production than yes, they do compare. Once again, Ingram is 19 yrs old and Richardson is 18. They haven't even hit their peaks as college running backs yet.

LSU and Florida both have 2 championships this decade. I would put both Florida teams and the 2003 LSU team up there. I wouldn't put the 2 loss LSU team on probably but the other 3 are equally good.

Florida's 2006 MNC team didn't beat the Auburn team that was horrible on offense. The Auburn 2004 team had a better defense and stronger offense than anything UF has fielded under Meyer. Not taking anything from them but no the UF team would not have beaten that AU team.

My Bad....Sorry....

I meant Felix and DMAC > Brown and Caddy

My point was to just say that Ingram and TR are neither of these two combos.

LSU 2003 vs AU 2004 would have been a great game.

That I agree with. I'm still at a loss of how Nall failed to field any sort of offense in 2003 with the talent we had, to fail on that kind of a level rivals Charlie Weis.

How in the hell did Auburn go from being horrible in 03 to dominant in 04 with basically the same players and coaches?

1. Borges put both backs on the field at the same time and used them in the passing game some.
2. He cleaned up the routes and had the receivers run tight routes.
3. Borges told Campbell to throw the ball deep and be more aggressive in the passing game. In 2003 the receivers were allowed to improve the routes more focus on run blocking and Campbell was told over and over to not F up and throw an interception.
4. It worked Campbell did ok passing till the second half of the LSU game and after that he never looked back. His 3rd down passer rating was the best in the SEC this decade for any QB at nearly 200, It was higher than 189 just can't remember how high. Simply put Campbell was clutch when the game was put on his shoulders.

The running game didn't change a whole lot just the passing game opened up a ton for the running game to do.

Auburn 2003--wasn't that the year AU spoke to Petrino about becoming Auburn's coach?

That as well. There was a lot of internal strife in the AD during that year amongst the coaches and the administration, not hard to figure out since there were talks of firing Tubs.

Thanks for clarifying that you're an idiot. It wasn't necessary, though.

To those of you claiming that Williams and Brown were better... Based on what?

More Rushing yards? Check
More Rushing TDs? Check
More yards per carry? Check
Fewer rushes/More yards? Check
Heisman Trophy? Check
Younger by two years? Check

Tenn 2001
LSU 2003 and 2006
UGA 2002
UF 2008
Bama 2009
were all better teams than Auburn 04. The SEC was just down that year.

Auburn 03 had better personal than in 04 just Hugh Nall was the OC.

UF 06 was the weakest national champ this decade over the 07 LSU tigers

LSU 06 was the best team to never win shite.

Cad and Brown didn't even come to fruition until their 5th years in college and that's with a 1st rounder at QB (to open things up for them). Keep in mind that's with McNeil, Grubbs, etc. on OL.

Ingram and Richardson are already doing crazy stuff as teenagers.

TR & MI, DMac and Felix, Caddy and RB - wow, we're talking some talent.

IMO, the Bama guys need to finish their careers before someone draws conclusions. At this juncture, I'd take McFadden and the worst of the rest and still come out on top.

This is a fricking dumb arguement... All are great backs, and there isn't any cut and dry winner here considering all are 1st round NFL draft picks...
