Congrats to all the Mormon lurkers — you Latter-day Saints have a more recent football championship than Georgia.

While the '84 BYU championship wasn't the most convincing in the world you have to take your hat off to the Mormons. They have some down years but for the most part BYU has been a good team with an elite season every now and then.
I wasn't sure they were going to make it going independent but they've managed to right the ship after a rough start and seem to be doing fine.

So sad that Auburn's latest accomplishment is that UGA hasn't won a title.

And that was a sham. They beat Ohio State who didn’t even win the B10 that year nor finish ranked in the top ten.

They played like a 6-5 Michigan team in their bowl game

Ok I knew it was one of those two who didn’t do shite that year. Point still stands they had no buissness being voted as AP national champions, by idiotic media.
