Yeah...you guys got pretty ruined on this one. Harping on Auburn fans all along for offering Mosley to get Dyer and now you guys offer a worse rated recruit to get Jones.

In retrospect i'm not quite sure than an offer to Mosely would have automatically given us Dyer. I think his recruitment process woould have had drama regardless. A lot of star athletes on any level are arrogant Dyer just doesnt hide it well.

This can't be understated. Arkansas fans RAILED on Auburn for months about this.

If Mosley could run track he probably would have gotten an offer. From what I understand this kid is so fast he makes people who are fast look not fast.

That is true. In my opinion though Jones is a much bigger need. We dont have Malcolm Sheppard anymore and our best interior lineman is a true Soph. That being said Dyer has the tools to be a great running back no matter where he goes, I'm not going to knock his talent because he didnt sign with us.

This. And there is no way to spin it. Hogs are dumbasses for railing on AU and doing the same unless they are going to do the same to their own team.
Arky wants Jones BADLY. They sent 4 coaches to do an in-home also apparently. If we get Jones, it will not be pretty for Arky.

Probably because it is contingent on Jones committing to Arky. Were you one of the ones running your mouth about AU and Dyer?

I made a post recently about it being up to each school if they think they have the luxury to offer schollies to friends of studs to get the stud. I still believe if Arkansas had offered Moseley, they would have gotten Dyer. So yeah, it is perplexing to see them do the same thing at this point. But then when you start considering needs, it makes perfect sense. Arkansas' weakness is, OBVIOUSLY, defense. It makes a helluva lot more sense to offer a package deal on a stud DL than it does on a stud RB.

I think Alabama offered Robert Lester to get Julio Jones so when you want a great player, it helps to get their bestfriend

.. I highly doubt this.. The rest of our prospects are 4 and 5 star, with Whitaker being higher than Jones at the DT position..
