That's pretty amazing actually, I mean even Vandy and Kentucky couldn't pull that off

i wouldn't necessarily say that at all. Tennessee has better facilities and resources. Ole Miss had a better team last year

Well then why have the vast majority of national, unbiased publications placed Tennessee (and LSU as well) above Ole Miss headed into next year? What a grave mistake...

Nobody cares about the University of Mississippi, NOBODY. You guys have a couple wins against Bama and you've gotten too big for your confederate brithces.

Hahaha, gold Jerry, gold.

Your one horse, hole in the wall, Mississippi town, your shite facilities and your high school stadium say otherwise.

And I don't hate Ole Miss at all. Never had reason to

Back to back NY6 appearances, beating Alabama consecutively (UT hasn't beaten them going on a decade), a top 3 recruiting class coming in, putting multiple student athletes in the National Football League, the biggest sure-thing at quarterback coming in since Andrew Luck.

Tennessee plays in the East. So there's that

Even this is debatable if you look at common opponents

Bama: Ole Miss won a very fluky game in Tuscaloosa. Alabama committed 5 turnovers, most of which were unforced. That almost never happens. UT lost a nailbiter in which no fluky things really happened.

Arkansas: both teams lost close games to them at home, so basically a wash. Although Ole Miss gets extra choke points for not being able to stop a 4th and 25.

Florida: as much as UT fans hate to think about this tragedy, we still looked amazing compared to the utter, complete embarrassment put out by Ole Miss against the Gators.

Vandy: Ole Miss struggled mightily to put away a bad Vandy team at home. UT made quick work of the Dores in Neyland.

if a poll was administered asking incoming students where they'd prefer to spend their college years - Oxford or Knoxville, the results would be overwhelming. Also, once the football stadium renovations are completed Ole Miss will collectively have top 5 facilities within the conference. That is not debatable

Tennessee plays in the East. So there's that

Tennessee has more money, better facilities, a bigger fan base, more tradition, more NFL players, better NFL players, history that actually impresses people. If you really think less than a decade of down time for Tennessee and two decent seasons for Ole Miss makes Ole Miss a better "program" you're fricking high. And you should know this. What Ole Miss was like 4 years ago is what a bad program looks like. You're basically on the level of what South Carolina was a few years ago. Win something and then you can talk about making an argument you're a better program. You'd still be wrong, but at least you'd have something to add to an argument.

You're right about one thing - Knoxville would win in a landslide. Students typically like living in actual cities with things to do.

what you said x1000.

Honestly, any argument Ole Miss fans try to make is just as piss poor as the ones Vandy fans tried to make around 2012 and 2013. Ole Miss is basically Vandy, just less intelligent and successful.

A renovated Vaught Hemmingway to go along with the best basketball arena in the country and Swayze Field makes for one hell of an ensemble. Top 5, possibly top 3

you know what isn't top 5? all the other facilities associated with an athletic department. you're either very ignorant and haven't seen what other school around the conference and country have or you're just very stupid.

For a high school, definitely.
