When we went away from a computerized BCS style selection, the system was doomed. I hate the behind doors process, but the people in charge want it to where they have wiggled room in there so they get the teams they want........And that is a very deep conversation. But its the same reason that Notre Dame is allowed to operate outside a conference, not play a conference championship, and still get in the playoffs. Other teams would never be allowed to do this.

I love the Tiger melt (Mizzou excluded). Cry more you fricking bitches. SOS matters. Plus not long ago, Bama was finished, can't afford the players these days, etc. Now we can afford to pay off not only the refs for this coming weekend but also the CFP committee

SOS, I guess. I didn't watch the program so I don't know what the reason for #5 was. Let me say I don't think there's one reasonable fan that thinks we're #5. But we aren't paying off the CFP for a ranking this early in the season

I wish we still had the BCS system. It was wrong a time or two but for the most part was correct every year I thought.
You do realize a couple of years ago Bama was left out of the playoff all together do you not? There is no conspiracy to get Bama into the playoff. The controversy to me is having several teams that have not played anyone with a pulse ahead of teams that actually did play a challenging schedule. Some of these teams have no losses or 1 loss for a reason. They manufactured a record like that instead of going and playing in tough games in tough places to play and earning an undefeated or 1 loss record.

LSU/Kentucky had a few controversial moments, but you don’t see us handwaiving the loss.
