Rumors have it that muschamp is calling a presser to make it official tomorrow morning along with Dan Werner (ole miss OC formerly) as a QB coach.

Anyone hearing anything about Werner?

Think he showed a decent amount of promise in the 2nd half. Would make sense with how we’ve seemingly moved onto Propst for WRs.

Bryan McClendon should be the OC.

He was already Co-OC before the other dude left, that makes him defacto OC.

If they don't make him OC now, its because the Co-OC label was bullshite, and South Carolina lied to him.

If he isn't named OC, he needs to come back home to Georgia.

This is a business decision. Make him the OC, or he will look elsewhere for the promotion.

You are either on his side, or forcing him to choose to coach against you.

(That said... waiting on the sideline for a new OC opportunity is almost an annual event for Muschamp. If not this year, maybe next year)

I’ll always be a BMac fan. He’s a hell of a position coach, but I think Boom is making another bad OC hire. He needs someone with a completely different philosophy. Just my opinion

I doubt that since there is a mutual dislike there.

I mean, I do like what I saw out of him against Michigan. I love the fact that he would actually play a bit of speedball and push the tempo. And he did change up some of the offense, I don’t think we had ran that option play all year long, and it worked. I figure give him a year and bring in Werner to learn the passing game under, and I think in due time we can have a system sort of like ole miss had under freeze, which would fit our personnel wonderfully.

Recruiting wars. Talk about negative recruiting to kids and families.

Is South Carolina trying to build a program or trying to rubber stamp some short term mediocre success with plug and play mediocre hires?

BMac is going to be an excellent OC.

About Dan Werner ... we're hiring him away from Bama, correct?

Don't be the kiss and tell South Carolina of years past.

If you treat McClendon good, he's going to treat you good.

He can be the butterfly effect piece of your future program.

Understandable. UGA needs all the recruiting help they can get right now.

He’s currently an Alabama analyst.

Werner doesn't go on the road and recruit. The offense he had at Ole Miss was Hugh's offense. Dan ran a pro-style offense in all prior stints. Maybe a good QB technician though.

He was 1-0 as HC at UGA. Should make a good OC.
