Well shite. That sucks. LSU disbanded basketball so I don’t really have a dog in this hunt, but Bruce is a personal favorite.

Pearl took over when AU basketball at its darkest hour. He did an unbelievable job, and I thank him for it. Steven has been doing a lot in practice, as has Burgomaster. Steven knows the expectations now and Auburn has shown the coaching community that it will support basketball at a high level. I hate that he is retiring, but a job well done.

I knew Stephen Pearl from his time in Knoxville. While I thought Bruce was great, I wouldn’t put Stephen in charge of a beer run. Auburn is done.

What Stephen lacks in intelligence he makes up for in arrogance. The only person I have personally known that was more universally despised by his peers was Brad Renfroe. I’m telling you, this will be bad. Really bad.
