I'm starting to get the impression Bruce Pearl can get his team of for some of the "Us against the Word" games but seems to struggle with his players and winning games he should win. Anybody else notice any similarities between the 2 coaches?

If Houston Nutt is the second best coach in the SEC then yes.

I don't think the overall talent of SEC Basketball coaches matches up with the Very High Quality of SEC Football Coaches. How many National Championships have SEC Basketball Coaches won? I can't think of any.

I think two. Doesn't Donovan have both of them?

Opps, forgot that one. Does Kentucky still wish they had gotten Billy D??? Kinda like Bama wishing they had gotten Coach Rich Rod.

In regards to Mal Moore and Bama, I always chuckle when Bama Fans give Mal so much credit for getting Saban when he was not his first choice.

If I had to rank the SEC coaches just off of who I'd want (assuming everyone did things the right and clean way) I'd go:

Cal
Johnson
Pearl
Donovan

Not saying Johnson is better than Pearl or Donovan right now, but I think when he has his squad that he recruits, he's going to bring an exciting brand of ball to LSU with some wins to go along...

Not flaming, but I hear LSU fans all the time talking about how good Johnson will be and I believe he will as well, but what is his background? I just don't know what he did before, but it obviously must have been very very good for them to be talking about him like that even after this season

Both are charismatic.
Is Pearl full of bull?
Unless he is, that's where the similarity ends.

How did I know that an Arky fan would start something like this. The obsession continues, even in year 3...

Hey man, I'm guilty. I was trying to be nice. Let's just say Nutt's charismatic! They both are.
