I'm detecting quite a few empty seats and players still on the field in this picture...

Sanford Stadium is a graveyard when it comes to noise. Never understood it. Don't know if it's the way the stadium is constructed or what but the fans sound like shite.

The hedges absorb all the sound.

And as State players know well, you can store your reserve hot piss in the hedges.

No one really left the ULM game early. We kind of thought we were going to win until the end

Yeah, they really were apples and oranges.

It's not like ULM took a 28 point lead midway through the 3rd quarter.

I will admit that a lot of LSU fans are very bipolar. It's part of why we are so intense and insanely loud for the big games. There's not much in between with our fanbase. But I always tried to stay until the end of every game regardless of the opponent. Could be because I spent the better part of a decade as a student en route to two degrees.

Unfair advantage and cannot be judged using the simple human ear. It has been said War Memorial noise levels can be compared to the space shuttle launch.

The empty seats are the student section. A good bit of them left early (I didn't). The section on the far right is not part of the student section and that section is mostly full.

Only for the first half. They all leave about midway though the 3rd quarter, especially if they're getting waxed by Troy.

Unfortunately, thats true.

But for really big games - its loud at the beginning and at the end (if the game is close) - very loud. Gets quiet in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs for some reason.
