You wish you ****! I know how you people from NOLA are but it aint like that in Alabama. There you go Maybe we will start stereotyping some of the LSU fans for the shite that happens in Louisiana but we don't do that because we actually have a life. And don't get on sports related message boards and cry about the dumb shite that some retarded people do rather it be sports or whatever.Maybe we can scold you LSU fans for JJ for kicking a fricking Marine "someone that has done something for their country" in the head while he was on the ground.

I have nothing bad to say about Alabama. I dont think of the past when I'm in your state. Hell...I love Gulf Shores and have enjoyed it when I've gone to both Tuscaloosa and Auburn for football and baseball games..nothing but good times. I've never seen fights break out at either places and I've tailgated with both fan bases. Understand that.
And, no I'm not mad that we lost...we got our asses handed to us on a silver platter...I accept that. I'm mad at how we played...not at Alabama. You deserved it.

Legend13, a life in Alabama? YOu have Mobile which has all the crime of NOLA, but none of the culture. The rest, ok. Coal mines and old steel plants. Nice life.

I love Louisiana... and I have some very dear LSU fan friends. I agree that it makes me cringe to see the deviant groups of people act out, and you see it here when people think they have an unfiltered outlet to say whatever they want.
During the BCS game, I can honestly say we had an INCREDIBLE time. LSU fans were incredibly gracious, and despite the circumstances, showed nothing but poise and respect. And they kept telling us that they had the same experiences with Alabama fans. It's always frustrating to have that kind of experience, and then to see that someone rubbed himself all over a passed out fan in Krystal. It's a shame THAT'S what will be remembered.

You think I condone that shite? In my opinion he should have been kicked off the team permanently, but he wasn't. Did you know he got booed loudly when he was put in for the Kentucky game? I don't know one person that agreed he shouldve been reinstated..not one...but we're not the coaches who make the millions of bucks...our hands are tied...

Dude you just sit down there in your little culture dump with Brando and the rest of the corndogs and I'll be just fine here with Alabama football,Mobile, steel mills and whatever,"BUT" I can guarantee one thing ,"that I won't be crying about a fan base or the guy that broke the Bama's fans jaw because one thing is for sure Bama fans aint pussies"!

I don't know one LSU fan in real life that was OK with JJ and his actions. And the lack of remorse he showed for being in that position galled them even more. You always want to see your program succeed with good people, and LSU has lots of good people.

Now you're understanding what I'm saying. I'd be furious at THEM for what they did...there was no excuse for it.
And no...that game won't be remembered for that...what will be remembered is that Bama kicked our arse...plain and simple...

I have understood what you are saying, but I just don't think there's anything that can be done about the stereotypes and conclusions people make. Time after time, Alabama fans say, "we don't know anyone who acts like that-we are mortified", and time after time, people say, "well an entire krystal had people egging him on. That's typical Bammer culture". And so after a while, you just have to know that you aren't like that, and when people meet you, they will form a different opinion. I don't think anything can be done or said to counter the perception that people want to have.
In the meantime, most Alabama fans will say that we wouldn't have wanted to play LSU in a rematch either, and that we were lucky to get the chance to play you again. At least from my perspective, I assume the same situation will happen in the future, and I'll be glad it's the best two teams that are playing.
And LSU is likely going to win next year. What goes around comes around...

Contrast the discussion between Bella and Daigeaux with the one between Legend13 and Gulf Coast Tiger.
And therein lies the difference. It's quite stark.

BTW, do you realize how foolish a person from Mississippi, or any other southern state, looks when they are trying to "down" someone else's state?
We all have our ups and downs.

I don't count ANY win before it happens...and certainly not in the SEC. Face it, we're a different breed of people when it comes to SEC football. I've just about been to every school for games and it's the same everywhere...it's the passion and pride.

Well said. All of the talent in the world can't make up for a flat day or bad team chemistry.

It hasn't been proven that JJ kicked someone in the head. The video I've seen shows JJ wearing jeans and a white shirt. The person doing the kicking wasn't in white. Oh, I know, let me go change clothes so I can fight. I don't think it went down like that.
What we do know about the "marine":
1. Lowery suffered another injury around 5 a.m. Sept. 4 when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup while hitchhiking on Highland Road near Airline Highway, a State Police crash report says.
Michael Whitman, 47, of Prairieville, told troopers he was traveling east on Highland when he saw Lowery walking east on the shoulder of the road, the report says.
Lowery’s left thumb was sticking up and his left arm extended into Whitman’s lane of travel, Whitman told troopers in the report.
Whitman couldn’t swerve to avoid Lowery because of a vehicle traveling next to him, the report says. Whitman hit Lowery with his passenger side mirror, shattering it and chipping the paint on his passenger side door.
Lowery, who was taken to a local hospital by his family and treated for moderate injuries, initially told troopers he was hit when Whitman changed lanes, the report says.
Lowery, 21, later changed his story and told troopers he was hit after he stuck his arm into Whitman’s lane of travel in an effort to “catch a ride,” the report says.
Lowery said he was hitchhiking because his car had broken down and he couldn’t get hold of anyone to give him a lift. (I guess he has few friends considering NO ONE could be found to give him a ride home???)

After troopers questioned him about his sobriety at the time of the crash, Lowery admitted to having three to four drinks and taking at least one Lortab prior to the crash.
2. Andrew Lowery, has a criminal record in the state of Florida. In particular, Lowery was arrested in Okaloosa County in 2008 for a violation of Florida Statute 812-014, a theft statute.
3. Andrew Lowery also has other credibility issues. In particular, a woman has obtained a restraining order and alleges "that on the night of Aug. 18, her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Lowery, 21, followed her to a bar, cursed and yelled at her, cornered her several times and hit one of her friends."
4. Andrew Lowery is not a full-fledged marine. He's in the reserves. Big difference. He's not some war hero.
Andrew Lowery's past is going to become as much of an issue as Jordan Jefferson's actions when his court date arrives.
