Alabama without Milroe or LSU without Daniels would be completely different teams and very well might have been left out. The difference is that under those circumstances neither team could have possibly beaten Georgia. FSU just had to beat a mediocre Louisville team which they did with 55 yards passing.

The committee selected the appropriate team within the criteria. I think the whole process is stupid, but it is what it is. The new 12 team system will fix it.
