“The biggest one of my career is going to be when we win a national championship," Kelly said. "So, I'm focused on one thing when I came down here, and that's to win championships. That's one game. It was an exciting win, but I don't put it in the category of the biggest. I think I've had teams that have achieved great things, and I think this team achieved a great victory because of where we were in January and what we've become. So maybe for me probably as satisfying as a win for a group of guys that have committed themselves to a process and in that time have achieved a lot.”

We're coming for that rematch.

Or whatever Tennessee fans say.

Not sure about Kelly, but it is certainly in the top 2 with the 2019 Alabama game for LSU fans.

Anytime LSU makes you cry is certainly a fun time for me.

Pretending you aren't trolling LSU yet again, I will respond-

yes, this game was up there. 2019 was bigger for the season and great excitement, but was an away game- like 2011 Bama win. So I tend to put that in another category, because you can't celebrate like a home win.

2022 Bama is on par with 1988 Auburn, 2003 UGA, 2007 Florida. Intense slugfests that go back and forth, no letup from either team all game, where the good guys (home team) wins in dramatic fashion at the end. Those are games you can only pray to see, when you get your tickets.

I separate those from, say, 2007 Virginia Tech, 1982 Fla State, or maybe 2018 UGA, where the good guys (home team) overwhelms a strong opponent and dominates them all game long.

Recency Bias cuz. It was a hell of a game, I wouldn't even put it in the Top 2 of just LSU v. Bama.

2019 was not a top win, we were expected to win that game and Bama really never had a chance to win that game. I think the games that are best is the ones where you play well but where not expected to win. I would suggest this and Bama 2000 and 2010 in TS are bigger wins than 2019 Bama.

Yeah, no. It's almost like LSU has won multiple national titles in the not too distant past that came with bigger wins than over a 2 loss Alabama team. I put this year's win over Alabama on the same level of the 2010 game, but nowhere near the top of my list for biggest wins in my lifetime. Don't flatter yourself

Y’all expected to win the 2019 game but it was definitely one of the biggest because y’all were on a 9 game losing streak. This year’s game was exciting and even though it was Kelly’s first year, it doesn’t come close to 2019 IMO.

Sure, but we were on a 15 game slide at home in 2000. That 2000 win in TS was bigger than tonight. We had not beaten Bama in TS since 1969. It ushered in a program that won 3 national championships in 19 years. Beside, 2019 was in Tuscaloosa, we beat Bama more there than anywhere else. Doing it in TS has been pretty hard over the years.

Daniel is young. He doesn’t know his history.

I agree with that. I would probably put that game and 2019 as the most important games in this series for LSU. It’s also hard to choose since there have been been a lot of great games in this series.

Good attitude by the coach.

In all seriousness, it probably is his biggest win. It was a marquee game that vaulted his team into the playoff conversation when it wasn’t expected to do so this year.

Deserves a lot of credit.
