Isn’t Kelly an Irish name? He may want a free trip to his roots…

Not sure, several schools are playing there over the next few years.

OP has made 2 or 3 threads about this. Weird infatuation.

Well I'm here. Looks like the scoreboard was in my favor and not yours or hers.

LSU playing a game in France would make more sense. Also the odor from the dirty LSU fans wouldn’t cause an international incident in France because the locals don’t bathe either

Lots of people vastly underestimate how much money schools rake in every year in licensed merch sales. Why wouldn't adding Europeans to that total be a good idea? Having a game in Ireland means it will be on tv at a convenient time for curious European sports fans to watch live, the diehards already record the CFB games they want to watch.

Now with that out of the way, adding travel to Ireland to an already extended season may be detrimental to the two teams who play over there. Ireland isn't nearly as bad (jetlag wise) as going to Australia/NZ or East Asia, but it will still affect the entire team including staff. Of course doing it early in the season (as in first game) and making sure one of your cupcakes is scheduled the following week can minimize the effect. I wouldn't be opposed to my Longhorns doing it tbh.

I don't know what swamp tigah are paying him, but I bet he can scrape up enough scratch to buy his own ticket once he flames out and gets shitcanned. As it is now being a P4 CFB coach is a year round job..most take a week or less vacay every year. Anyone who has traveled internationally knows if you only have a few days it's best to vacation closer to home. (Unless you enjoy spending half your time riding in planes/taxi's)

It would be good exposure and a once in a lifetime trip for many people. Who wouldn’t want to go to Ireland?
