Sounds like a French fried excuse of the biggest blunder ever.
You pay him more than NFL , you give him more control,
Hell you make the frickin AD if you have to.
The biggest choke job known to man. Now you try to take it out on Bama, the team that gave him free reign and paid him like the king he is.

He walked into the most stable program in college football
So stable that for the first time ever there was a stickied thread to track all the Alabama transfers. So stable that over 60% of Alabama’s roster was made up of first year players. So stable that both of Ohio State’s All-americans last season and their starting QB this season transferred last January from Alabama.
That didn’t matter when Alabama played against trash coaches like Brian Kelly, who still has not been able to get Kalen Deboers shoe dislodged from his colon. It did matter when Alabama played against average to above average coaches like Brent Venables, Clark Lea, and Josh Heupel

If you look at coaching, we have a staff that took Washington to the natty and has an elite record vs ranked teams
The defense is nasty and will shut everyone down
Quarterback is far better than last year, Simpson is a much better fit for the system and can actually read defenses
Backs are elite, I look for us to be very balanced and use Simpson as a game manager, much like the early Saban teams
Receivers are elite, Ryan Williams is probably the best receiver in the country
Offensive line should be amazing
The playoff is the floor. Period.

Why are you scared to guarantee a playoff appearance?
Posted on 8/10/25 at 3:33 pm to SidewalkTiger
Because no team is guaranteed to go to the playoffs. Not Alabama. Not Ohio State. And obviously not LSU.

The playoff is the floor at Alabama. Period. No excuses.

It is more of a floor for Bama than the team you’re embarrassed to follow now.
LSU has made the playoffs what, 1 time since 2014, on one of the luckiest situations in the history of CFB (right next to Chiz/Cam for AU)? Now they have a coach who has been #1 for probably a decade on the list of coaches with the longest tenure yet to win a NY6 game. Talk about a glass ceiling for LSU…poor BK just keeps bumping his head against it and falling back down. It’s such a match made in heaven, Sidewalk gave up hope and abandoned ship. Can’t blame him

Now I'm a Bama fan and looking forward to celebrating multiple natties

Coach Elko looked and acted like a fat retard… Demeaning his players at every opportunity.

quote:Wow. BK sounds like a total bum. The guy clearly doesn't know how to coach
That depends on whether you count his vacated wins. He won 113 games. Because of vacated wins, he officially has 92. Knute Rockne won 105 games. Lou Holtz won 100 games. Parseghian won 95. The official NCAA records have him as 4th all time among Notre Dame coaches in total wins. Most here will likely say he is the winningest
quote:
Kelly had a 70.2% winning percentage, which is a fair bit below Notre Dame’s all time winning percentage of 73.2%
quote:
It could easily be argued he is the 9th best Notre Dame coach of all time

I read that Old Grinder was once an aide to Sen. Gary Hart. Remember him? The married guy who was running for president and got caught on a boat called “monkey business” with his girl friend. All after he dared the press to follow him to dispel rumors he was cheating on his wife. Didn’t do too good a job keeping his boss on the straight and narrow did he?

It seems to be he left LSU, went somewhere, them or LSU didnt want him and Bama recognised his true talent and did what they were supposed to do.
If not , he wouldve found work until he coulda got back to LSU
Obviously mistreated and under appreciated in Baton Rouge
