I will say you are one of the more successful trolls on the board, and i typically find you amusing. The only time I groan at your posts is when you purposely misquote or misrepresent something said or done. You have too much imagination to lower yourself like that. Other than that you show good imagination.

It feels like you don't realize that Grand Valley State isn't a G5 FBS team or even a FCS team like Wofford. They're division 2.
I get that's because you're kind of an idiot, but I feel like I should try to help you some.
My buddy at WBT Sportz (manages the WBT SportzBook) just said Grand Valley St would be -7 vs TCU on a neutral field.
Nice try, dipshit

The truth is, LSU and BK are not elite. Sorry you don't like facts.
I mean Georgia and LSU are very close in terms of historic achievements so are you saying Georgia isn't elite either?

But then again, you're wrong about a lot of things.
Again... he was pretty darn close. UGA lost in the national championship game in overtime.

As a historical program UGA is not elite. We (along with LSU) are in the second group of programs.
Top group is Bama/OSU/Michigan/Notre Dame/Texas/Oklahoma/USC
Second group is PSU/Nebraska/Tennessee/UGA/LSU
After that come teams like Clemson/Miami/Florida/Auburn/Washington.
Now at the moment, UGA is elite. But that list is pretty much UGA/Bama/OSU and perhaps Michigan.

That said, if the ND administration decides to get serious about football again they could be a handful.
Maybe. They've lost their one real advantage. Now everyone is on TV every week. Blue chip recruits want to get to the NFL. Playing in the SEC has been proven to be the best way to do that.

I disagree.
Their advantage is catholicism and how that independently generates revenue for their athletics program.
As was said earlier, they can become a giant again if they want to prioritize it.
Chances are... they don't want to do what it takes. But it is there if they want it.

Really? Ohio State? Michigan? Not TCU? Not Clemson? Not LSU?

Okay. How is that an advantage in attracting elite football talent to come and play P5 ball?

1.3 B catholics in the world.
70 M catholics in the US.
Televised games on free network TV.
Over 6200 catholic schools in us.
Over 1200 catholic high schools in us.
That this needs to be explained to you makes me question your blinders/motivation or your intelligence. Which is it?

Nope.
Post covid year (which due to the extremely different number of games played from conference to conference makes it impossible to compare), here are the top teams by wins.
1 - UGA (29) - 2 playoff appearances
2 - Michigan (25) - 2 playoff appearances
3 - Alabama (24) - 1 playoff appearance
4 - Ohio State (22) - 1 playoff appearance
5 - Clemson (21) - 0 playoff appearances.
Everyone else is 20 wins or below.
I draw the line between OSU and CLemson.
In an ideal world, I'd go back 3 years to talk about where programs are "now". The problem is with 2020 where some teams played 5-6 games, some played 8-10 and some played 12+ still.
Being elite at the moment isn't about the last 5 seasons. Even the recruits from 5 years ago aren't on teams anymore to any real degree. Its' only very recent seasons and viewpoint of upcoming years.

How many of those 1.3 billion catholics are legit P5 talents?
Demographically speaking, LSU is the best P5 program there is in an area dominated by catholics. Maybe you can find 30 players on our roster that spent any time in an archdiocese school, but I'd be shocked if you could find 6 practicing catholics on that team.

LSU has a catholic church on campus.

Never said we were historically elite.
UGA is elite right now. LSU and BK are not.

I don't disagree.
You dominate your 88 square miles like no one else.
The rest of the catholics in the country dgaf about the Bengal tigers, though.
Both points can be correct.

The recruiting rankings over the last two decades certainly support this point.
Posted on 5/11/23 at 10:55 am to TigerLunatik
What percentage of the tigers are from catholic high schools?
Posted on 5/11/23 at 11:01 am to meansonny
Who says all catholics go to catholic high schools? Your big point was that there are SO many catholics in the US. Now you want a breakdown of how many of recruits are from catholic schools? You're just spinning your wheels.
