the University of Texas used a "Block T" and the interlocking "UT" logo decades before the University of Tennessee did. The two schools now have an agreement to share the interlocking "UT" trademark.
Block T
The Texas "Block T" logo was used as early as 1915 by the school's Corps of Cadets, but the most common version was introduced for the football team.
Tennessee's "Power T" logo first appeared on their football helmets in 1964.
Interlocking "UT"
The University of Texas started using its interlocking "UT" logo in 1905.
Tennessee did not officially adopt its interlocking "UT" logo until 1986.
Trademark agreement
A trademark dispute arose in the 1980s because both universities were using the interlocking "UT" logo.
In 1986, the schools reached a deal that gave Texas commercial rights to the logo west of the Mississippi River and Tennessee rights to use it east of the Mississippi.
Tennessee stopped using the interlocking "UT" on its football field in 1998, opting to use the "Power T" instead.

The University of Tennessee was around when you were still Mexico.
Matter of fact, you would still Mexico of not for Tennessee Volunteers. There is a reason your largest city is named after a former Tennessee governor.
By the way, the SEC has already said Tennessee will be UT, and Texas will be TX.

1925.

Tennessee: The University of Tennessee's orange and white colors were selected in 1889 by Athletic Association President Charles Moore for the university's first field day.
LINK
Texas: Students at the University of Texas began wearing orange ribbons around 1885 to show support for their team. While orange and white were used at games from 1885 until 1899, they were not officially adopted as the school's colors until 1900. The distinctive "burnt orange" shade was officially adopted in 1925.
“Tennessee wears the Power T....gues who is now showing up with Power T hats?” Texas was using block T years before Tennessee

The biggest thing is if those two coaches were fired tomorrow for not winning they would be paid in accordance to their contracts. But not at LSU. They don’t have the money that they put up to get Kelly after being turned down by other coaches. Kelly bit but wanted a big buyout. Now he should be paid. And if he has to go to court over it then it should be twice as much.

LSU literally had 38 players when Kelly took over. It was far worse than the current state of it.

I was thinking the same thing so went and looked up LSU record for 2020 and 2021.
2020 5-5
2021 6-7
Kelly also inherited a crappy program.

Lsu wants to win titles. Our fans are happy beating bad teams and occasionally not looking inept against the good teams …but never really having a shot to win it all.
That’s the difference between the two programs. At least that’s what it appears to me. I don’t know how anyone could be happy with the same problems with our offense year after year with a head coach who is too arrogant to admit he needs help.

Are you trying to say you want Kiffin to be the next Texas HC?

Hell no. He’s just another sark. Constantly hyped up by the media, but what has he ever won? At least sark has been to the playoffs. If Kiffin was the only option, I would just keep sark.
