I apologize for merely pointing out what is being reported by the fine journalists on ESPN. Sorry.

I understand. Now to refute them...

Who from Alabama has REALLY been a bust?

This seems like BS. Alabama is loaded with talent every season, as such they can afford to rotate a lot of players in and out keeping all of them pretty fresh.

True. Saban's fault though?

I think it's a mental and physical grind to play for Saban, not sure how much NFL performance is influenced by this.

When the NFL teams stop drafting Bama players in first and second round I will be more inclined to believe Billick's statement about the league taking notice.

On a somewhat related note, is this the next/last thing to attack or question Saban on? It seems the Saban haters have lost all their talking points over the last few years, lack of NFL production is the last great hope it appears.

I don't know what happens in practice, but it seems like Bama substitutes and rotates as much as anyone during games.

Maybe when he stops winning National Titles due to the HUNH, it will be a great talking point.

As tough as Saban supposedly is on his players, I bet it pales in comparison to Bear.

Billick said this on CBS Sports Radio this morning when he was asked by one of the hosts if there was a player in the draft who is getting more hype than they deserve. He didn't mention any players. Instead, he decided to bring up the fact that he is wary of Bama players due to all the injury issues they have after leaving college. He said NFL teams are starting to notice that a lot of Bama players are very beat up and already breaking down physically by the time they reach the NFL.

Basically, Saban is so hard on his players that it has taken a heavy toll on their bodies. Bama players are more physically beat up than players from other programs and there is a lot more wear and tear on their bodies due to the physicality of their games and practices. Billick said NFL teams are starting to view Saban as someone who chews his players up and spits them out, a coach who rides his players relentlessly and squeezes everything out of their bodies until they break down.

It was pretty interesting to hear Billick say that about Bama players. There have been criticisms about Bama players busting or not reaching their potential but this is the first time I've heard anybody speak about Saban riding his players so hard that it caused them to break down physically earlier in their NFL career. I wonder how it'll affect the stock of Bama players in the future. Will it hurt their stock and maybe cause Saban to change his way or is this just a blip on the radar? Hopefully, it's the latter.

HUNH is used by Bama at times.when they catch a team with the wrong players for a play they want to run.
They use it more than you think. I laugh when I hear Saban cry and tell everyone Please don't throw me in the briar patch...
He plays angles better than anyone.

I don't think Orlando McCain would be a bust if he has a disciplinarian coach. Without that he's a thug.

3 years, 18 million. Seems like a pretty solid effort by Cincy to sign him.
