Veneebles is college version of Josh McDaniels ...why leave when you have 100% security under Dabo? Hes not going anywhere until Dabo goes somewhere else

I don’t understand why he’s such a hot name for the NFL.

Is that a bad thing? Serious question. A good coordinator makes pretty good money and does not have to put up with fans, big contributors, media etc....

Off the top of my head I am thinking about guys like Muschamps, Pelini, Clay Helton, Larry Fedora, Eaux, Kirby, Pruiet, just to mention a few.

I'm convinced Venables is going to be a terrible head coach.

I completely agree with this. I see no reason for SC to hire another defensive guru that's proven nothing as a head coach. We've seen time and time again that being great at coaching an offense or defense does not mean you're cut out to run an entire program.

Re Venables getting the OU job. Didn't he get run off from OU? I know OU fans online wanted him gone. Wonder if there's bad blood between him and OU.

Will Muschamp to clemson as DC....

I can't see it happening. Dabo plainly has some bad blood with Muschamp. He'd never tolerate him on their staff.

Venables should get a shoot at HC but he needs to go somewhere he can win.
